On a recent motorcycle road trip, I met a fellow rider while spending
the night in Libby, Mt. When we got around to saying where we were
from, he was from Canada. I did not get his home town nor his name,
dumb on my part. When I told him I was from Snowflake, Az, his response
was, I know Snowflake, it’s just down the road from Pinetop, Az.

He then told me he and two buddies were riding the Az White Mountains
this past April when one of the buddies rear exhaust broke from his
engine. They got it repaired at Twins Motorcycle & Machining, Jeremy
Buttram’s shop, member of the MMAA of AZ. They were very pleased
with the repair and especially the more than fair price.

Well done Jeremy you are becoming internationaly known.….….……

Well, another Rally has come and gone. We expected 250 to 300 sign ins, and we had 202…not too bad considering the Phoenix television channels were reporting a new fire was burning Heber, and took out all the power, blaw, blaw, blaw…
so our turn-out was kinda weak. When all the smoke has cleared (no pun intended) we made a few hundred buck, but the important thing is we had a GREAT time! Lots of comradery!

I’d personally like to thank everybody that participated in putting this thing together. It took a lot of people doing a lot of things to bring this thing to full circle. You know who you are, and I know who you are, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
It’s too bad we got burned (again no pun intended) by the news media.

Don’t forget “Too Broke” is next month. Let’s support our big Brothers, and Sisters with ABATE. They too work very hard to put this event on for all the scooter trash, not to mention this will be the 20th year for it!

Our next meeting will be July 10th in Springerville at the VFW, hope to see all of ya there!

Ride more, talk less.…

Mike McCall
President MMAA
